Smiles from the Blockbuster Book Haul
Sorting through the books and magazines from my recent auction haul, I have found some wonderful things that I hope will bring a smile to your face. I love the colors, the poses, and above all, the hair styles! You can click on the images to see a larger version.

If you ever want to make more, the whole book is available online at archive.org — I will never make any of them, but I love those pictures and think they would make great inspiration for an art journal or quilt. 🙂
When I lived in Texas, big hair was the signature look for a Texas gal.
That is true, but I had never seen that particular look of big individual curls like Vogue used in their knitting book. I felt like they were trying to start a trend that didn’t take off! 🙂

That was fun. I attended high school in the late 70”s when ponchos were all the rage. You must be having a good time working your way through these treasures.
My mom made me a poncho in two colors of yellow yarn, and I can still feel that heavy acrylic yarn, and how those fringes got in the way of actually using my hands for anything! 🙂
