Summer Saturday in Texas
Saturday afternoon in a small Texas town –
Ah, the ice house!
The doors stay open in all weather, kids are allowed in, and the furniture and decorations never ever change!
Come in and have a cool one and let’s swap some good stories.
This is this week’s installation of the 1 Day 1 World Project, for 4:00 – 5:00 pm.
This looks like a great place to spend an afternoon. Thanks for sharing the view with us!
Where everyone knows your name . . .
Definitely “fun”!!!!!
Looks like somewhere I’d like to travel through…
It’s Chappell Hill. It’s a unique little town in that it doesn’t have the usual array of antique shops, but there are at least four garden shops, and not much more. There is a restaurant that is supposed to be good, but it closes at five pm on the weekends! I think a great day trip itinerary would be Independence for the Antique Rose Emporium, Brenham for antiques, and then Chappell Hill for the ice house!
