Sharing Ephemera
I have started some Pinterest boards as a place to share interesting little odds and ends I have. Some of them are textile-related, but a lot of them are just little scraps of history that family members have saved over the last century. In the future, I plan to upload some of the great old costume photographs I have, but for now I have boards for ephemera and antique children’s books.
If you like that kind of thing, I hope you take a look!
Not 100% sure, but I believe Singer Sewing machine co, made a featherweight in celebration of that 1933 event. My sister and I collect FW’s and she acquired one known as the Chicago Edition. Very few were made that year.
I was just at my quilt group today and we had quite a discussion about FWs. One was from 1933 but I forgot to ask about the Chicago connection. I will ask the owner next time I see her!
I just checked out both boards–they look great!
Yay! I am slowly slowly slow-w-l-l-y-y learning more about different social media sites, and all this little stuff seemed like it would find a good home on Pinterest.
