ScrapHappy January 2022
This table runner/ wall banner is made from the scraps left over from a baby quilt I made in June of 2019. It is based on a design by Alexandra Ledgerwood from her book Improvising Tradition. I love the crisp clean look of the design, and I have enough scraps to make two more!

The downstairs level of my house has a lot of support pillars breaking up the space — it was fun to make a small wall quilt that will fit one of those spaces.
ScrapHappy Day is the 15th of each month, hosted by Kate and Gun, the first two names on the list. It is a lovely day to take a blog tour to get colorful inspiration, from these creative bloggers:

Love the leaves and at angles like they just blew in!!
Me too! I love so many of her designs and especially this one.
It’s always fun to finish a fun project! I like the way the leaves dance on the runner!
Yes, I don’t finish often, so I am relishing the feeling! 🙂
That is just lovely! What a clever use of scraps, and such an elegant outcome!
This is beautiful with a modern classy-ness! Very beautiful use of scraps!
Thank you. I love that book Improvising Tradition and her designs just hit all the marks for me! 🙂
Thank you, Kate!
Leaves are always a favorite theme for me and you table runner is beautiful.
Thank you so much!
I like this 🙂 I bet it looks fab on your wall and on your table.
Thanks, I really like it. Most of our decor is very traditional, but I like this more modern touch.
I had forgotten that book included the leaves. They are an elegant way to use scraps to make something useful.
Thanks, Joanna! I have more leaves to use up but now I am seeing them framed by scrappy strips like your recent log cabin project!
love the leaves, great use of scraps. I can imagine making a pile of them and stitching them on all sorts of things, one would even make a great patch on clothing.
I love those leaves, but haven’t gotten around to making any myself.
What??!! I managed to find one pattern you haven’t made yet?!! I am amazed. 🙂
It´s beautiful!
Very pretty, Great use of scraps.
That is beautiful and a great use of leftovers from another piece!
